Xbox Series X is available from Best Buy now (update: sold out)
Updated 1:37 PM ET, December 22: Best Buy has no more consoles at this time.
Microsoft's Xbox Series X keeps coming and going, but the next-gen console remains a long way off. We just saw it on sale at Costco this morning, and as usual, it didn't last long before it sold out. Now another opportunity has presented itself in Best Buy.
At this time, you can wait to get your hands on the Best Buy Xbox Series X. The retailer only sells the console — no plan required — and it's open to anyone, including those who haven't subscribed to Best Buy Totaltech. Click the Add to Cart button and be patient while you're put into a digital queue. Right now, Best Buy appears to be releasing inventory in waves, which means you might have a second chance even if the console appears to be sold out.
Also, be prepared for Best Buy to ask you to verify your information, and if possible, be sure to sign into your account in a different tab while you're in line. Once you add a console to your cart, you have approximately 10 minutes to complete the purchase.
These consoles may need a late Christmas gift at this point, but hopefully you'll be lucky with a local in-store pickup truck.
