Using the View Once feature in WhatsApp

The View Once feature in WhatsApp is the latest feature added to the platform, and it allows users to make the message disappear automatically after opening it.

This feature is found in all social media platforms such as Snapchat or Instagram where messages disappear or self-destruct after a period specified by the user.

Unlike other platforms, WhatsApp will not tell you if the recipient took a screenshot of the image before deleting it.

Therefore, the company does not recommend sending the sensitive image through its applications whether you use the View Once feature or not.

How to use the View Once feature in WhatsApp

This feature works with the latest version of the WhatsApp application, so you must make sure that you have it, and if you do not see the feature yet, you can update the application via the application store on your phone.

Then go to the WhatsApp application and choose a photo from your phone's photo library, or take a new photo as you usually do.

And you find below the image next to the send button No. 1 in a small blue circle, click on it to activate the View Once feature.

Then press the send button, and when you receive a View Once message, the image does not appear directly in the chat.

You need to click on it to be able to see it before it disappears, and the image will not be uploaded to your photo library.

There is no timer to display the image where you can keep the image open in front of you all the time as you wish, but the images disappear as soon as you hit the back button.
