Tik Tok expands to more TV screens

TikTok is expanding its presence across TV screens in a major way. After initially launching in North America on Amazon's Fire TV platform, the TikTok TV app is now available on Samsung and LG smart TVs, as well as Android TV devices, including Chromecast with Google TV.

More than a billion people come to TikTok to entertain, learn something new, create unforgettable content, and more. Earlier this month, we launched TikTok TV in the US and Canada with Amazon Fire TV as our number one partner. We are now excited to bring the TikTok TV app to Google TV and other Android TV devices, LG Smart TVs and Samsung Smart TVs.

She added, "We're bringing TikTok to the big screen in the living room and introducing a new way to experience the fun and creativity of TikTok together at home." And through our mobile application, we bring people a little joy. The big screen experience allows families and friends to easily enjoy the platform together.

The TikTok TV app is designed to provide a home TV viewing experience. This makes it easy to view content from your For You and Follow feeds across the big screen.

This includes the most liked and viewed videos across a wide range of categories, from games and comedy to food and animals.

People can log into the TikTok TV app using their existing account. There is also a Discover page in the TV app as well, which allows you to find more of your favorite content, creators and categories across the platform. Tik Tok videos can be up to three minutes in length.

Outside of North America, the platform has been available on Samsung TVs and Fire TV in the UK since 2020. The app surpassed 1 billion active monthly users in September. It is reported to have overtaken YouTube in terms of average watch time in the United States.

And you can now immerse yourself in the platform's proprietary algorithm by the popular ByteDance across the largest screen in your home.
