The University of Sharjah and the Arab Parliament for Children launch three training programs for skills development

Sharjah, 9 February/ WAM/ The University of Sharjah and the Arab Parliament for Children have announced the launch of a set of diplomas and training programs to raise the research and parliamentary capabilities of children and workers in this field, provided by the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University of Sharjah.

This came during a press conference held at the University of Sharjah in the presence of Prof. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, President of the University of Sharjah, His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for Children, and Prof. Radi Al Zubaidi, Director of the University's Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development.

His Excellency the President of the University stressed the important role that the University of Sharjah plays in serving the local community, whether in the research and scientific fields or in the fields of education and continuous training for all segments of society.

The university director referred to the university’s five-year strategic plan, which enjoys the support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, as a leading educational and research institution locally and regionally, with more than 17 thousand students studying in various academic programs, stressing that the university and what it possesses From advanced educational software and modern technological techniques that will be relied upon in teaching these specialized diplomas to the child, which depends on the interactive teaching method, which makes the student in a state of passion and suspense to receive and absorb information, better and faster than traditional methods.

For his part, His Excellency Ayman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, affirmed the Parliament’s keenness to continue and strengthen constructive cooperation with the University of Sharjah and to offer courses that would benefit members with the skills of their practice of parliamentary work within the framework of the Parliament’s vision to qualify a generation of parliamentarians who are able to serve their Arab countries, pointing to the importance of this partnership. Which he described as qualitative and academic, which brings Parliament together with the University of Sharjah to follow the steps that began with the launch of the skill diploma and continues to anticipate an important stage of qualification in the launch of three new programs: Parliament’s Diploma for Children for Parliamentary Work Skills - Advanced, the Diploma for Developing the Skills of Supervisory and Leadership Teams, and the Diploma Program Professional in parliamentary work for the Arab-general child, which converges with the objectives of establishing the Arab Parliament for the Child in encouraging children to practice parliamentary work in accordance with its correct rules and practices, which are characterized by the development of skills and themes and the formation of a mature parliamentary culture according to programs that are the first of its kind locally and in the Arab world.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Radi Al-Zubaidi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the university, explained that the center, in cooperation with the Arab Parliament for the Child, announced the launch of three new training programs to develop the skills of supervisory and leadership work teams for members, where it is scheduled to participate in the first number / 75 / members of Parliament The Arab for the Child, representing 17 Arab countries, lasts for 110 training hours and deals with a number of axes, namely the League of Arab States, introducing parliamentary systems in Arab countries, and the Federal National Council system in the United Arab Emirates, in addition to developing parliamentary skills, including ethics Parliamentary work, parliamentary etiquette and protocols, writing parliamentary minutes and reports, oversight work, managing parliamentary tasks, parliamentary committee management skills, as well as a set of general skills, including: science, knowledge, artificial intelligence applications, communication skills with the media, and the development of basic patterns of parliamentary thinking and culture, including elections Parliamentarianism, parliamentary and political awareness, constitutional systems, global culture and societal.

As for the second program, 68 trainees will participate, and it deals with a number of topics, including joint work strategies and teamwork, supervisory skills, problem-solving and decision-making tools, smart leadership and creative ideas, enhancing the efficiency of the supervisory performance of work teams, effective communication skills and ethics. dialogue.

The third program deals with a number of scientific and practical axes, including the development of parliamentary skills, speech skills, leadership, communication with others, creativity and innovation, including the axis of parliamentary culture, global culture, and children’s rights, in addition to an applied aspect of measuring the skills acquired during the training program period.
