Prime Minister: We are working to enhance Egypt's position in the map of the telecommunications and information technology industry
Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting at the Council’s headquarters in the new administrative capital;To follow up the position of implementing the plan and budget of the current fiscal year of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in the presence of Mohamed Moait, Minister of Finance, and Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
The Prime Minister said in a statement issued today, Thursday, that the telecommunications and information technology sector carries a great task, which is its contribution to creating a development renaissance in the various national projects implemented by the state..
He added that the state is working to support this vital sector;In an effort to reach an integrated digital community through which the Egyptian person is built, and Egypt's position on the map of the communications and information technology industry is enhanced.

For his part, Nader Saad, the spokesperson for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated that the meeting witnessed a review of the most important executive steps achieved by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology during the current fiscal year 2021-2022, regarding the projects that the ministry undertakes to implement.
In the forefront of which is the construction projects of “digital Egypt”, which are implemented in cooperation with the various sectors of the state to digitize government services, and achieve digital transformation in all sectors, in addition to the Ministry’s efforts in the field of launching government services on the “Digital Egypt” platform.
The meeting also reviewed the indicators related to the rate of growth of the telecommunications sector during the past months of the current fiscal year, as well as technical training programs;Where it was noted that work is currently being done on the expansion of technical training areas to include various academic specializations and expand the base of the beneficiaries, through a number of important initiatives in this regard..
Besides, during the meeting, the Ministry of Communications was referred to in promoting the contribution of small and medium -sized companies to implementing digital transformation projects for government agencies, as well as creating an environment that stimulates entrepreneurship and support for creativity, and other projects for the ministry.
During the meeting, the spokesman also noted that the state is working to support the transitions to the digital economy, in a way that contributes to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of government performance, improving the quality of services provided to citizens, enhancing governance, and transparency.
