The Internet has more than 30 million subscribers in Morocco

The telecommunications sector in Morocco witnessed a positive development in the first quarter of this year at the level of all sectors, especially the mobile Internet.

According to data issued by the National Agency for Regulating Telecommunications (ANRT), the Internet subscribers' pool recorded an annual growth of 16 percent to reach 30.6 million subscribers, as it increased by 4.2 million subscribers in one year and recorded an penetration rate of 85 percent.

ANRT reported that the mobile Internet is still the main driver of growth in the fold of Internet subscribers in Morocco, as it achieved an annual increase of 15.90 percent to reach 28.49 million subscribers.
