Soon in Dubai .. «Nol Hour» to pay public transport tickets

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority revealed during the 2015 GITEX Technology Week, "Nol", which enables public transport users to pay metro tickets, tram, public buses and taxi.

The new Nol watch operates the normal Nol card tasks, except for paying the parking lots, as Khaled Al -Awadi, Director of the Department of Automated Collection Systems at the Roads and Transport Authority, told (Eritis 24/7), that the parking fees payment devices require the entry of a card and the authority is currently operating.To develop these devices to receive the clock signals.

Al -Awadi explained that the passenger, as soon as he approaches the metro or tram gates, and passes the watch on the reader, the gates open automatically.

The watch can be used to ride metro, tram, buses and taxi.

However, "Nol Hour" is currently only a proposed project, as the Roads and Transport Authority displays it during its participation in the GITEX Technology Week with the aim of introducing it to the public and exploring their opinions about the project and whether they will wear it if it is launched or if they prefer a plastic bracelet over their wrist.

The Nol watch is not the first smart alternative to the Nol Cards, as the mobile phone service is currently available that has become more easy this year, as the user can pay public transportation bills and parking without the need to buy the NFC SIM chip as it was before..

Al -Awadi explained that the authority worked to introduce a technique known as (HCE). All you have to do is to scan a Nol card on your phone to start working as a Nol card.
