Microsoft allows its users to dispense with passwords

Microsoft announced that users can now delete all passwords from their accounts, instead log in using the authentication application or any other solution.

The giant technology company has made accounts without passwords for its company's products since last March.

This system is now provided to all Microsoft or Windows users.

The company said that "nearly 100 percent of our employees" are already using the new system that is the safest for their institutional accounts

If the login is activated without a password, it will be asked users who re -log in to the Microsoft account to give their fingerprint, or open another safe lock on their mobile phones.

This is much safer than using passwords that can be guessed or stolen, according to Microsoft.

She said: "You are only the one who can authenticate the fingerprint, or provide the correct response on your mobile phone in time."

Windows users will remain able to use fast login features such as PIN, though.

Some rare exceptions will still need passwords, such as Office 2010 and others.

In the event of a loss of access to the authentication application - for example in the event that the installed phone is lost, stolen or forgotten when to update - backup options can be used, including Windows Hello - which requires a compatible laptop, or a cameraEspecially - SMS service or email codes.

Microsoft says that users interested in safety, who have a bilateral approval, will need to reach two different ways to recover accounts.

Professor Alain Woodward, as part of a research team that is investigating the authentication technique without a password at the British University of Sri, described the matter as "a very bold step from Microsoft."

He said: "This is not only limited to logging in to computers, but to log in to online services as well" - including important services such as cloud storage.

Microsoft offered its motives to adopt the new system, in a series of posts.

"Passwords are incredibly in terms of construction, remembering and management through all accounts in our lives," wrote Faso Jacquel, Vice President of Microsoft Security.

She added: "We are expected to create complex and unique passwords, remember them, and change them frequently - but no one likes to do so."

Instead, people tend to create unsafe passwords to remind them easily, so they use duplicate or the same password on multiple websites.

This led to guessing or detecting infiltrators in a violation of data.

Professor Woodward says Microsoft's comments on misuse of passwords are largely correct.

He added that passwords are an old concept "and maybe it's time now to start searching for something different."

But there are currently no agreed criteria.

Professor Woodward said: "There are a number of different methods that can be done - and it will be good for everyone to advance, and they are trying to find a way to do so."
