MG is preparing to launch its new electric car

MG, the automotive brand, will launch its ZS electric car tomorrow, March 7, 2022, with changes in the exterior and additional amenities inside.

According to a report by Times of India, ZS, the electric car, was first launched in the country in early 2020 and has done reasonably well considering the limited electric options available in the passenger car segment.

The changes that will occur in the car were presented recently, and the company presented the technology industry integrated into the car and hinted at what it could add to the driving experience.

The company announced that the 2022 ZS EV will come with i-Smart technology that will provide more than 75 connected features, and it is also claimed that the new MG ZS EV will come with Car-as-a-Platform or (CAAP) where the program will take care of many services and subscriptions Inside the car from partners such as – JIO, Park+, MapMyIndia and Shortpedia
The MG ZS gets navigation services from MapMyIndia which is said to offer satellite navigation support with its new 4D maps, and Park+ will enable pre-booking of parking spaces for ZS owners before they arrive at the site.

In terms of entertainment, the JIO suite of applications will be part of the vehicle feature package, where customers will be entertained via the JioSaavn audio broadcasting platform that will support reading or listening to the latest news in English and Hindi using Shortpedia.

The car will include a digital Bluetooth key that allows users to access the car without the physical key, as users can control the air conditioning and lock and unlock the car using the i-SMART app on their smartphones. The i-SMART app is now available for Android and Apple smartwatch users.

The i-SMART app in the ZS EV will ensure users keep track of charging stats as well. The advanced voice recognition system is said to be a standout feature of the i-SMART range, and will be able to act on more than 100 voice commands. Customers can also track their CO2 emissions and compare them with other ZS owners.

The price of the updated ZS is likely to reach $ 32,000, and it is expected that the car will continue to compete with the Hyundai Kona.
