How to Run Android Apps on Windows 11 Day Seven

Microsoft has officially started rolling out support for Android apps to build the Windows 11 Insider Preview, and support is currently rolling out to users enrolled in the Windows Insider Beta program.

Android apps are available on the Windows Insider Program via the Amazon App Store and so far, there are only 50 apps available in the catalog, while Microsoft has confirmed that it will add more apps over time to future Insider builds.

So, if you are interested in how Android apps run and perform on Windows, here are the steps you need to follow:

1.Join the Windows Insider Program Beta channel

If you are not part of the Windows Insider Program, you will have to sign up for it by heading to Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Insider Program

Once you sign up for the program, you will be asked to link your Microsoft account and choose the channel, so enter your account details and select a trial channel.

2. Restart your computer and install the update

Once registered, restart your computer and then head over to Update & Security to receive the latest Windows 11 beta. Install it and then wait for the process to complete.

3. Open Amazon App Store and download Android apps

Restart your computer again, then click Windows Store. Download the Amazon App Store and choose the Android app you want to download.

That's it, your Windows 11 PC now supports Android apps, noting that the app selection is very limited at the moment and we expect Microsoft to fix it once the feature arrives in the final version.
