The Abu Dhabi Health Department announced the use of a smart electronic bracelet to monitor “Corona” patients in home isolation, noting that cases eligible for home isolation were registered in the Abu Dhabi Center for Public Health system, so that the main supplies could be provided for them, support and follow-up.

The Mubadala Health Care Network has united its efforts with the center to provide remote health care services for 1,500 Corona patients, while they are in the home quarantine.

In detail, the Abu Dhabi Health Department stated that there are criteria set by the Abu Dhabi Center for Public Health's home isolation system, targeting people whose tests showed positive results of infection with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), who suffer from mild to moderate symptoms and do not pose a danger.

Home isolation instructions are directed to confirmed cases, after providing their owners with a remote electronic monitoring bracelet.

The department indicated that the categories of home isolation in Abu Dhabi include patients aged between 18 and 59 years, who do not have symptoms or have mild symptoms, provided that the injured person is a responsible person who is able to educate himself about preventive measures, and is committed to applying health isolation standards carefully, in addition to the availability A suitable home environment for home isolation (a room with good ventilation and a separate toilet), and for the patient to have a smartphone.

The department pointed out that the bracelet does not include any smart applications, as it is intended to follow the patient's movements and ensure that he adheres to the place of isolation, and the bracelet can only be opened by the specialized team after recovering from the disease.

She said that she excludes some groups from home isolation, including patients who are at risk because of their health condition, people over the age of 60, people who suffer from chronic diseases, respiratory diseases, heart diseases and serious diseases that may affect their immune systems, and others who need direct health care.

The department explained that the difference between the “smart bracelet” and the “Al-Hosn” application is that the first is for the injured only, while the second is available to all members of society.

Al Hosn, launched by the health sector in the country, is a digital application dedicated to devices and smartphones, and it combines the advantages and characteristics of the two applications, TRACE COVID and STAYHOME, launched by the Abu Dhabi Department of Health, to ensure superior protection of user privacy through the best standards of artificial intelligence and technology. .

As part of the program, “Mubadala” monitors the health status of patients infected with the virus (Covid-19), who do not suffer from symptoms or suffer from mild symptoms, provide them with remote medical consultation services, and visit them in their homes when necessary, under the supervision of specialists from the Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Center. and Amana Healthcare, affiliated to the Mubadala Healthcare Network.

The comprehensive home care plan includes virtual or realistic visits to patients in their homes, by nursing staff, doctors or laboratory specialists when necessary, where a “case manager” is assigned to each patient, whose task revolves around following up and managing the patient’s condition, ensuring his safety, and arranging his admission process. To the hospital if necessary. Under the program, patients also receive a medical evaluation after a positive test result.

Violations and fines

The list of violations, fines and administrative penalties, issued by a decision of the Council of Ministers, stipulates that anyone who does not adhere to home quarantine and quarantine in private facilities, or who refrains from implementing these instructions, will be fined 50 thousand dirhams.

Whoever does not abide by the instructions of quarantine or re-examination, according to the instructions and the specified dates, shall incur a similar fine.

As for those who refuse to install the smart application of the electronic tracking system for the home quarantine, they will have to pay a fine of 10,000 dirhams.

The penalties included violating anyone who refrains from carrying the smart electronic means, or causing its damage, loss or disruption of the network, with a fine of 10,000 dirhams, with the value of the electronic means being charged in the event of its loss or damage, and a fine of 20 thousand dirhams is imposed on anyone who breaches Applications or smart means of tracking quarantine cases, destroying, deleting or damaging the program, system, or website, or obtaining information or data related to them without a right, or initiating any of those actions, with the violator bearing the value of the damages.

It also imposed a fine of 10,000 dirhams on anyone who refrains from reporting loss, damage, or tracking malfunctions in the smart electronic medium or network, within 24 hours from the time of losing contact with its holder.
