5 new features in Android 11 that you will only find in the Google Pixel 5 phone
When Google launches a new phone in its Pixel series, there are two main reasons for enthusiasm for this phone, the first reason: the phone itself, where we can see the new features and specifications that Google offers in its flagship phone that will compete strongly with leading phones from major companies The second reason is that Google often uses the launch of a new flagship Pixel phone to introduce a new feature set in the latest version of the Android operating system that is limited to this phone only.
The Pixel 5 runs the same Android 11 version that's currently available for the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4 and a host of other phones, but it offers some extra goodies we haven't seen before.
Here are 5 new features in Android 11 that you will only find in the Google Pixel 5 phone:
1- New battery saving mode:
In the previous (Pixel 4) series of phones, Google did not pay much attention to the battery, as the small battery capacity was one of the most prominent disadvantages of the Pixel 4 phones; Because the phone screen supports a high refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, which increases the battery consumption rate.
In order to avoid making the same mistake twice, Google addressed this issue in the phone (Pixel 5) in two main ways, namely: using a large capacity battery, and also included in the operating system a new mode to save battery power called (Extreme Battery Saver).
Google designed this mode for those times when you need to keep your phone on while the battery runs out; Because it turns off more features and pauses most apps, the phone processes data slowly to save more battery power until you plug your phone into the charger.
When this mode is on, you can decide which apps you want to keep using while everything else is stuck on the phone. Google says: "When you activate the (Extreme Battery Saver) mode, you can get a battery that works for up to 48 hours on a single charge when you really need it."
Google has confirmed that the (Extreme Battery Saver) mode will reach older Pixel phones in the coming period.
2- The (Hold for Me) feature in the Google Assistant:
Whether you're calling your Internet service provider, customer service at your bank, or anyone else who asks you to wait for a long period of time, having to wait and listen to repetitive background music is annoying, especially when you have a lot of tasks on hand. you make. So Google introduced a new feature called (Hold for Me) in its voice assistant that will wait for you.
Now if you're using a Pixel 5 phone, and you want to call a number and will be on hold for a while, you can choose to let Google Assistant monitor the call and wait for you, and notify you when the other party is ready to talk to you.
When a customer service representative answers, the Google Assistant alerts you with a vibration and sound and tells the other party on the call to wait until you can answer the call.
Google has made it clear that this feature depends in its work on the artificial intelligence technology it uses in the (Google Duplex) feature that allows the assistant to make restaurant reservations on your behalf, which means that it has the ability to distinguish between a human voice and a recorded message thanking you for waiting.
It is worth noting that this feature is now available in the United States as a preview feature and supports the English language only, but Google confirms that it will develop and launch it on a large scale during the coming period.
3- Enhanced technology (HDR+):
The image processing process that allows Pixel phones to take the best photos is one of the most important secrets of Google in its phones - and one of the main features of phones - and (HDR) technology is one of the main factors in this process. So Google has improved it in its flagship phone (Pixel 5).
(HDR +) technology automatically improves colors and lighting, so that the photos you take remain the same as in nature, and Google has added to it in the (Pixel 5) phone a new feature for exposure correction called (Exposure bracketing) that directly benefits the new ultra-wide lens, as It allows her to take more than one picture of the same scene and choose the best one.
4- Improve Night Sight:
When talking about the camera improvements in Google Pixel phones; The Night Sight mode is one of the best features that Google has offered in its phones since the release of the Pixel 3, and it has used its new flagship phone, the Pixel 5, to improve the features of this mode.
Now in the phone (Pixel 5) you can use (Night Sight) mode when taking selfies in Portrait mode; Allowing you to take selfies in low light, with all the details visible without using (camera light) flash.
5- Cinematic Pan feature for shooting cinematic videos:
Google added in the Pixel 5 phone a new feature to improve the quality of shooting videos, a feature (Cinematic Pan) that gives your videos a professional, cinematic look through super smooth slow motion, a feature inspired by the equipment used by Hollywood film directors.
